Hey everyone! I Apologize for the long wait on another video, however I have a new series for minecraft that involves the SMP aspect of the game with multiple commentaries. I think it'll be much more interactive and more fun at the same time : ).
I tried recording a CA video yesterday as well, but the lag is really killing me now. I can play just fine, if not good, without fraps running. But as soon as I hit record, my FPS drops to 35-40, and I can't even snipe or tap fire properly, it's terrible. I'll find some way to get a new video out somehow.

Hey Bax its -EMP, obviously u don't know me as i am just another random person / fan. But i was gona say ive been playing minecraft since the alpha server and well ive been working on some pretty big things. A cathedral, the largest cactus farm in minecraft ( lil bit 2 big that it will lagg, ive got 12gb ram and i still lagg), a kingdom and a minecart station which im working on atm, if u want u can come and check it out and maby if u have an idea of how minecart stations work u could even help a bit or if not well u could get the point of how they work. Im sure u get this a lot but if u wana catch up some time just saying I do specialize in redstone, so if u ever want like a 'FULLY AUTOMATIC' minecart that leads down to your mine or just a classic door lock so only u can access what is behind just im here 2 help. Anyways if we can catch up sometime in my minecart station that would be great, seeing all the time ive put into making the stations I could really do with some help.

Actually surprisingly enough yesterday i was having huge lag problems on CA on both my laptop (which plays CA much better than my Desktop) and my desktop and they both were lagging horribly. I think there was something up with the server yesterday.

ReplyDeletei just saw the lag vid you uploaded few hours ago and maybe you should try to "fraps" using the CA recorded thingy ~
As for me when i tried to get material using fraps i usualy ended like you just did (10-20 fps)
but with the ca fraps thingy i was actually get like 30-35 which was acceptable for me. (either high quality mpeg4 or half size~).
Maybe you should give it a shot ^.~

dont worry about crying noobs if they love ya and your vids as much as they say in comments, they will wait =P
patience is the key to many doors heh.
Get a fraps version newer than 3.2.8, that really helps! But 35-40 is a higher fps rate, than a normal human eye can see, so it must be about 10-15 (like you said in the video)!

ReplyDeleteUse the In-Game Recorder. It doesn't lag and if you use a high quality setting like Youtube HD or MPEG-4 High Quality (the latter doesn't work with Vegas for some reason tho) the quality is as good as Fraps. You can't tell the difference on YouTube anyways. /GG

ABOVE: I meant that Youtube HD wouldn't work, but maybe MPEG-4 or some other ones like Normal would. You could always use a converter like Voltaic or something too.

ReplyDeleteBaxstar I miss your CA videos. Hope your lag goes away soon! And if you've read on the website, they're making something bout West Coast and East Coast servers so that will probably reduce lag :D
